The short version: Radio Globe has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. We do not collect, store, or sell any personal information. Your favorites stay on your devices and in your own iCloud.
Information we collect
None. The app does not ask for your name, email, location, or any other personal information, and it contains no analytics or advertising SDKs.
Data stored on your device and in iCloud
Your starred favorites and app settings are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, favorites are synced across your devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value storage, tied to your Apple Account. This data lives on your device and in your iCloud — we have no access to it and cannot read it.
Network services the app contacts
To work, the app talks to a small number of servers:
- radio-browser.info (its community-run mirror servers) — to fetch the directory of stations, genres, and countries. When you play a station, the app reports an anonymous "click" for that station back to the directory, which the community uses to rank stations. No identity or account is attached to it.
- Radio stations' own stream servers — the audio you hear streams directly from each station's servers. Like any web service you connect to, a station's server sees your IP address as part of normal operation.
- Apple Maps — to render the satellite globe imagery, under Apple's own privacy terms.
Station logos shown in the app are loaded over HTTPS from the stations' own servers. Like any internet service, the servers above see your IP address as part of normal operation and may keep standard server logs. We do not combine this with any identity, use it to track you, or share it with anyone.
About the audio
All audio in the app is publicly available internet radio, streamed live from the broadcasters themselves. The app never records or transmits any audio from your device, and it does not use your microphone.
Children
The app is not directed at children, and since we collect no data from anyone, we collect no data from children.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics, or trackers.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
